TTH Company Info

It started 2006 as a hope to somehow make a fair way for artists to sell their cds.  It was our belief Indie music stores were not treating artists fairly.  Most charged $35.00 to register, and $4.00 per each cd sold.  The worst part is, you have to have your cd made elsewhere before you can even sell your cd through these indie music stores.  Duplication companies require a high volume of cds per order, if not in the hundreds, in the thousands.  By the time you are finished, you could be spending thousands of dollars just to try to sell your cd.

Talent should never determined by wealth.  How many talented artists were not able to get their music out because they were struggling to make ends meet and didn’t have enough money to have their cds duplicated.  Is it fair to tell such an artist that their music isn’t worth listening because they didn’t have enough money to have it mass duplicated?  Is it fair to require artists to pay thousands of dollars just to get their music heard by the masses?  Duplication companies, and Indie Music stores have been telling artists this for far too long, and it’s time someone does something about it.

Well, we did do something about it.  The TTH Label was formed in 2006 to combat unfair practices in the independent music industry.  It started out by offering bands a better way to sell their cds online.  The TTH Label was the first, and still is the only company that duplicates and sells the cd all in the same place.  We’ve combined duplication with a music store, and with great success.

Artists pay nothing upfront, no registration fees, no setup fees, etc.  Infact with our system, the artist never pays us anything to sell their cd in the music store.  The rate of 3.99 is taken out after each cd is made and sold through the sotre.

WHAT WE DO?

We do a number of things that were unheard of until we showed up.  We provide a indie music store that costs nothing to list your cd in.  You don’t even need to have prior CD Duplication as we make and sell the cd in the same place.  We also provide High Definition CD Duplication without minimum order requirements.  That means you set the amount you order, anywhere from 1 to 1000, it’s up to you.  Below is a basic list of what we do.

.  We are the first company to combine a cd duplication company with an indie music store.  The artist can only benefit from this, as it virtually eliminates upfront costs to sell cds online.  Pay nothing to start, a rate Is taken out after each cd is produced and sold.  This is the same rate other stores charge just to sell a cd, and they didn’t make it!

.  We provide CD Duplication with no minimal order requirements!  We are tired of duplication companies telling artists that they are not worth their time unless they order hundreds or thousands of cds from them.  This is nonsense, and someone has to stop it!

.  We provide a website free of annoying 3rd party advertisements.  Personally those flashy advertisements are just downright annoying to us.

.  We provide and believe in a no hassle communication system.  You won’t have to click through 80 pages just to find a way to contact us.  Infact all you have to do is click the “contact us” link at the top right hands side of the page.

.  We provide a music community without charging for access.  When you sign up for an account here (free of course), you can connect with thousands of artists for legitimate reasons.  Spam of any kind will result in a permanent and immediate band.

.  Much Much MUCH more, we hope you to take the time to experience this great website.

THE MOST COMMON QUESTIONS

Is there a quick guide on how to use this website?

Yes there is.  We highly recommend that all users take a moment to the guide on how to use the website.  It’s very quick, and is fun because it’s interactive.  This website uses many new things thay you may or may not be familiar yet.  The guide will also perform a test on your browser to see if it can support all the features of this website.  Older browsers may not work correctly, this is a good way to make sure that your browser meets the requirements!

This sounds too good to be true, how do I know it’s legit?

  1. We are certified by the two largest payment processors in the world: Authorize.net and Paypal.com
  2. That means both accounts are linked to a real person, and proves this company isn’t a fraud.  If we have complaints about our business, we would loose our certification.  That should alone remove all doubt, but for those who still don’t want to believe…Take a look at the community.  Open forums, thousands of members, the friend system  It’s impossible to make all of that up now isn’t it?

What happens if I already have a cd duplicated?  Can I sell that through you?

Unfortunately the answer is no.  That doesn’t mean we aren’t trying to come up with a way where we can.  We’d do this if we had a way to, the problem is that the system was built for people who hadn’t had cds made yet.  The company has taken off so quickly that we’ve never really had the time to come up with a system for those who already have cds made.

We  hope that what we do forces other companies to adjust and s tart offering the same type of options.  No more minimum order requirements on duplication, and no more unfair rates for music stores if this does indeed happen!

How are you guys making any money?  You must be working for free?

Did you know that it only costs approximately $.25 – $.35 cents per ecommerce transactions for cd prices?  This is what it costs us and I’d be willing to bet that other Music Stores pay less per transaction than we do, but probably by just a few cents.

If that’s the case, where’s the other $3.65 going?  We’ve ask the question many times, and have never gotten an answer.  As long as www.tthlabel.com exists, you know that anything they say, excepet for “Profit” is a fib.  We put the other $3.65 into making the actual cd and we still have a small portion left over to pay our employees.  These companies further expose themselves when they run certain specials that clearly give them away.  Ever see something like “$4.00 per cd if you sell them at $5.99 or higher, but $2.00 if you sell them for under $5.99.  What’s that?  We want more of your profit if you make more money from your product, even though it clearly doesn’t cost us anything more.

Here at TTHLabel.com we do not believe in such unfair practices.  We are here to help the artist, not to take more of the pie from them when they are more successful, how is that any different than a record label?  Isn’t that what Indie is for in the first place?  Separation from them the typical record label?

100% Honest Facts.

.  The price HAS NEVER been raised to this point, which is roughly 2 years.

.  Nobody in the entire history of this company has paid us anything to sell their cd (Is there ANY OTHER company that can say that?)

.  The price HAS DROPPED several times since we started.  When we find ways to lower cost (while achieving the same level of quality) we pass the savings on to the Artists, not our pockets!

Come one, do you really expect people to believe that this website was made by 1 person?

Without mentioning any names, when the top Indie Store claims the same thing, you can believe it because the website looks like it was made by one person.  This one does not, but yes, it too is the work of 1 person.  I (the person making the site) am pretty dedicated to what I’m doing.  For example it’s Wednesday 3/12/08 2:59AM in the morning, I can think of many things I’d rather be doing at this time in the morning, one being sleeping, but I can’, this website must be finished!

This isn’t the only website on the tthlabel.com site.  Store.tthlabel.com for example is completely different, and that is my creation.  I don’t think it’s a big deal, dedication like that should be expected, but other sites make a big deal out of it being “the work of one person” so I’d least mention it.

SLANDER AND ATTEMPTED HACKS

Believe it or not, some people don’t like us!  When the company first started in 2006 we never had a problem with anyone.  Everyone loved the idea.  We got lots of praise for what we were trying to do.  A sudden surge of artists brought a surge of hacking attempts and slander that for some reason can’t be avoided.  The more TTH Grows, the more rival companies want to bring it down.  We can’t prove it, but we can certainly suspect where it comes from.

We’ve caught groups of people on the internet who haven’t even registered on this website going around lying about this place.  We’ve saw people say that what we’re doing is impossible, it’s a lie, etc.  We’ve heard others claiming they’ve purchased duplication from us, but haven’t.  The hacking attempts you can usually say are just random.  When your site grows, so does amount of people who want to hack it.  However, the people trying to hack this website are dedication.  They don’t come and play, and then bounce to the next website.  They stay and work constantly at it, sometimes fro 12 hours a day for days in a row.

Why are people doing this?  It’s simple, the more this idea catches on, the more the competition is forced to make extreme adjustments.  They obviously do not want to have to start doing things our way.  Companies charging 4 dollars a cd to sell do not want to have include the  cost of production into that $4.00 rate.  Duplication companies like making artists order hundreds or even thousands of cds at a time, they obviously don’t want to have to drop their minimum rate to 1 just to compete to us.  It’s something that’s difficult to believe, that other companies would actually try to play dirty with us in this manner, but once you read through the log files, it becomes very believable.

When this website is finished, ETA March 2008, and we switch from the less secure V1 website to this state of the art secure V2 Website, what are these other companies going to do?  Guess we’ll have to wait and see, they sure won’t be trying to hack any longer!
